Caroline B. Carpenter is a long-time resident of Bedminster Twp with deep local roots. Her mother's family lived in Pluckemin since 1940, and she was born and raised in Somerset County, attending Bedminster Elementary School and Bernards High before leaving home to attend Seton Hall University. In 2004, she returned to her hometown, moving into The Hills to live closer to her parents, and has lived here with her husband and pets since.

As Caroline grew up, her parents were active in the community since moving to Bedminster in 1975. Her father Ralph served on the Township Committee and mother Linda worked for the Hills Development Company in the 1980s and 90s.

Now retired and as Bedminster Twp continues to grow, Caroline wants to ensure that our community's open spaces and environment are preserved without compromising transportation and affordable housing. As a supporter of the Bedminster Farmer's Market and Clarence Dillon Library, she has seen the benefits of a focus on our local community, but feels that more can always be done.

Unfortunately, not all politics is local. The country we live in is in crisis, with hatred of our friends, family, and neighbors being pushed by the most powerful people in this presidential administration. Our neighbors need to know that they have allies who will stand up against the grossest abuses of this president instead of another Republican who would be welcome at his golf club.

Caroline feels this is the time in our country's history that calls for each of us to stand up for all those who live and work in our area as loudly and clearly as we can.
